Oslo / Nesodden / Kiruna / Abisko / Stockholm
Following last year a partnership was set up with the manager of a home in Nesodden (Oslo) enabling the provision of this accommodation for 3 months. Which allowed Konte RAST refine his desires and artistic perspectives during stays of 3 nights from 10 to 25 between December 2012 and February 2013 in Oslo, and 10 nights in January under the northern lights in Abisko in Swedish Lapland without the moon . The objective of this second pole session was to perform complex set designs in light-painting simultaneously with the show of the Northern Lights. The environment of the Arctic Circle requires rigor, adapted physical preparation, a thorough knowledge of the terrain and the technical constraints of material management related to pure photography. With the smile Konte RAST conquered explains that "Nature is unpredictable as the frequency and intensity of the aurora borealis, so it is not possible to simply wait by the fireplace; You have to be in the right place and ready to capture the moment when the dawn begins his show: this sometimes gives 6h outputs or more than 10 hours. »
More seasoned, it is with a sharper and technical photographic equipment Konte RAST was able to produce a rich imagery of light painting, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
